I had leased a place that had only lasted 5 months due to summer rentals that it would endure from the landlord and at that time I had made arrangements with Direct TV to offer me services with basic services.
They had agreed to waive the termination fee due to the fact of my lease was temporary. When the tech arrived, I had confirmed with him about my situation and signed the papers. A week before I moved, I informed Direct TV that they need to send me the packages so I can return their equipment.
Needless to say they sent the return packages to the wrong address and I never got the return packages and moved. I heard nothing from them until Aug. 8th 2014 when my bank statement came in and showed that they deducted over 700.00 from my SSI account. When I called them, they proceeded to tell me that I had signed a 2 yr agreement and I argued my case and what I was told when I signed up. The conversation went nowhere and we hung up.
Now I am 2 months behind coming Sept. on my rent, utilities and TV payments. Unfortunately I am unable to find my information on this but I know Direct TV has logs. Just goes to show how crooked they are.
