What is it?
I ordered a refrigerator door gasket from the sears parts direct website, and it showed up as this store in Texas, I forgot about it until the package showed up, their shipping is so slow I got charged 4 days before the part showed up. Flipped out at first, thought I had to cancel my card until this refreshed my memory.
2 Fraudulent charges from Sears Roebuck 7936 on my debit card account posted on 8/11/2015 for $87.45, the second on 8/13/2015 for $81.64. The phone number given on my bank statement is 800-366-7278 which works only from a land line. When I questioned the representative on why these charges were made and where were the items were sent the response was "submit the complaint to your bank and they will contact the corporate office of Sears." No help at all. Don't deal with Sears! All fraudulent charges on my account were sent to an address other than the billing address. Sears will take any money - they don't care where it comes from. Total lack of customer care and proper customer service.
I had a pending charge on my account that just said Parts. I got to investigating and it was a charge for my refrigerator filter. Sears really needs to identify themselves more accurately,
Whew!! Thanks everyone. Just like Mark P, I thought my card was compromised until I got to this site. I saw a charge for $93.95 on my card from "Sears Roebuck" 7936 800-366-7278 TX. Totally forgot that I had to get a new board for my Refrigerator and used this card. I ordered the part from Sears Parts Direct, so I guess it shows up at "Sears Roebuck." So, as Gerald Baker said, this was a good charge and NOT fraud.
In my situation my credit card showed activity that read "Parts 07936", I called my credit card company to find out what this charge was for. Well it turned out this was a legitimate charge. It was for a water filter for my refrigerator. Sears automatically sends this part out once a year and since this was the first time going through this process I had simply forgot they set this up for me a year ago. Prior to getting this charge on my credit card Sears had sent me an email regarding the filter, unfortunately I did not give the email much thought. In my case this was proper charge, however Sears should make it clear instead of showing Parts 07936 they should use more descriptive language.
Y'all... be very careful about these charges. Yes, a lot of them may be legit as in the 'fridge' filters payments (from filters you never get, right?) LOL Otherwise, you'd be pretty on top of that charge. However, I just had a charge to my card that was for items that were NOT even sent to me. The first Sears customer service rep was helpful in resolving that my card number had indeed been compromised as the products purchased (not filters BTW - refrigerator crisper drawers) were sent to a whole different person and address altogether. According to the rep "a completely different address in a different state." Said he was not authorized to give me any more info than that on that order. Yep, even though the credit card was my number, said he couldn't tell me the recipeint's name or address, etc. Mmmmmk..... so, the next day I tried my luck again. This time got a lovely girl on the phone who was more than HAPPY to give me the details. I completely started over with my convo and stated that I was inquiring about a charge on my credit card, blah blah blah.... get this: got the recipient's name and address, AND she also told me that this person had also ordered more crisper drawers with two other card numbers the two preceding days before my order was place. Well now isn't that interesting. How many crisper drawers does one house need? My credit card company informed me that there was an attempt to use the card two days prior to the succussful charge from the same place and it was denied. Sounds to me like there may be some fishy bizzzzznesssss going on. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm..... wondering whether or not I should inform law enforcement in the recipeint's area. Wondering if they should make a house call. Lord knows what they might find. A lot of refrigerators?
Yes i get charge from SEAR ROEBUCK 7936 from yesterday 11/12/2017 on my credit card. I didn’t know that. I check my bank account i saw that $59.21. I didn’t go out all day long on that day I slept and didn’t purchase anything online on the day too . I didn’t know Sears did that with my bank account. So I called to my bank and lets them know and cutting out of the Card with out no purchase but still payment with no reason. I really disappointed with the company like that.
