My mother was charged 25x for 99.99 on 12/28/15 for PLAYSTATIO PLAYSTATION SONYENT 122515 800-345-7669 CA. She's been in possession of her card so the information is what was taken and after I Google'd the Description on her statement, I found threads with stories exact or similar to what happened to her. I personally am not one to play by rules or care for police, however I also don't care for those who target innocent people and make them victims. If this is such a widespread issue as it seems to be, it shouldn't be so difficult to trace where and who it's coming from.

Kirk--I am interested in participating in this class action against Sony. It might be helpful if you created a Facebook page to get the word out and enable other victims to PM their contact information.

I was charged 99.99 twice on the same day. Called the number was the same as everyone is posting here. I had to call the credit card co. a fraud investigation has been opened. The charges were taken off my bill and my card canceled. I am now waiting for my new cards to arrive. Now the hassle begins on changing all accounts to the new number on credit card. I wonder how they are getting the info. to do this.

Just had 3 charges of 59.99 on my account. This time I'm fighting it. About 6 months ago I had 3 of 59.99 and I got stuck eatting it. Not this time. I've talked to multiple Sony reps its not linked to my account. I never use my debt card on anything Sony. And both time I got the charges were different card numbers. On the verge of cancelling my bank account and changing to someone else and then never buying another Sony product again.

I too was charged $69.99 from Playstation SonyEnt and reported it immediately to my bank. I wish somebody would go to jail for this type of criminal activity.

I just also got hit too with a Playstation charge of 24.99 on my debit card. I don't have a play station and I did not charge it on my account. The charge was made on my debit card on the 23rd of May 2018. I called and they were closed.

I was hit for $19.99 yesterday morning: PLAYSTATION SONYENT 800-345-7669

My bank reported that an additional attempt was rejected (fortunately I had a low balance).

When I reported this financial transaction fraud to Sony, they basically told me it was "not their problem".

someone got my visa card # and hit it for $59.99 which visa turned down then hit it twice more for $49.99 which visa accepted but sent me a fraud alert, i called, visa cancelled card and issued a new #. Looks like sony caters to a bunch of crooks.

Similar story for my son. $49.99 x 12 in two days. We would like to know how the number was hacked. It would be helpful if other people posted their card usage and we can see if there is a common link. My son bought online text books from amazon and another site, uses the card for fast food and groceries and has direct deposit into his bank account. This is a debit/credit card link to his account. By the sounds of others, their cards are not typical "credit" cards (because checking accounts were drained, overdrawn etc.). Why aren't they hacking traditional credit cards? We are thinking RFID scan theft is the most likely cause. Since we never use the tap and pay, we are thinking of breaking the RFID in the card.

I have had over $1,300 of charges to my Mastercard. I suspect this charge has nothing to do with Playstation. The hacker(s) are simply using that label to place the charges. In my case, I call Mastercard and was referred to the fraud division. They assured me that I would not be responsible for the charges and would be issuing me a new card. This is probably your best route.
