I had "Paypal *Smarttrendz EB, 35314369001", but was a genuine transaction. It wasn't through my own Paypal account, but rather was an online seller using Paypal as their credit card service provider. I don't know what the number 35314369001 relates to.

This is a fraud which has been ongoing for at least 4 years. Stolen credit card details are used to charge funds, using an identifier suggesting that it is a PayPal account, and including a PayPal phone number to give an air of legitimacy. PayPal is not involved, and this is not linked to use of a PayPal account.
