PAYPAL CREDIT CONS DRS

PayPal has owned BillMeLater (and their many, many credit card accounts, e.g. the Newegg Preferred Account) for several years. In late 2014, they changed the way they reported your payments. Transactions that used to show up as BillMeLater are now listed as PayPal Credit Cons DRS. This is unrelated to buying things on eBay or paying for things with PayPal - these are hopefully payments you made from your bank account to a third party credit card that PayPal now owns.

OMG! I had the same thing happen. $1800 was taken out of my WellsFargo account and stated 'Paypal Credit Cons DRS s3457383236' MATTHEW TORRES. Paypal does not recognize these charges so this appears to not be a true PayPal issue...this seems to be a WellsFargo problem. I just had my checking account changed for fraud activity 4 weeks ago and they must have followed the paper trail to my new account number and got that too and charged up a storm.

Had two charges on my business account under this. Thought it was a scam, but turns out they were legit charges. Apparently Newegg.com and HPShopping.com / HP use this to process their payments. I purchased things from both and when I made my payment, they both showed up on my statement as WEBPAYPAL CREDIT (CONS DRS) / Withdrawal-ACH-A-BILL WEBPAYPAL CREDIT (CONS DRS) I'm sure other online stores probably use this as well. Either way, hope this helps anyone trying to figure out what it is. Why they don't just say what it is or append what it is to the CONS DRS bit is beyond me.

I got the same charge on 11/24/14. going to bank today to sign affidavit to get it reversed.
