My card company contacted me for verifying a charge of $104.97 made on Sep 24, 2014 by web solutions. I had no clue and they cancelled my card and suggested to contact bank and report it as a fraud. What a mess I have to go through!!

It is for a domain registration

I to had this happen. I called my bank and had them reverse the charge and they cancelled my card. When I called them they could tell it was a bogus charge and would refund my money. To me I find this hard to believe as 1) What dumb ass would steal your credit card and use it to purchase a domain name when they could do much more and no other charges were on my account. I'd call your bank and explain to them that this is a bogus charge.

We saw a recent charge of $104.97 from Web network Solutions. We called up our bank and informed that we do not approve of that charge. We called up the number posted on the bank charge and they said to give full credit card details with CVV number and we thought it to be fraudulent and hence we called up bank and check that charge. Bank said we must have swiped the card in some store where the details were hacked.

Without ANY authorization, Network Solutions just charged my account $184.95 - supposedly for a 5 year renewal (!) of web-hosting services - I repeat: NO Authorization was given and our renewal date isn't until February next year...
I got on the phone to their Customer Service number, (Thank you, to "Lenora" on a different site, but with folks having similar issues with Network Solutions) and told the CS representative what I was upset about and almost as though it were scripted, the response from "Aubrey" was... "Oh dear, we seem to have an unscheduled maintenance interruption to our computer services, so I won't be able to help you with that, ma'am. But I can assign you a 'ticket number' and you can call back in an hour or so and I'm sure they'll be able to address that issue for you..." - As far as I'm concerned this it total BS. I am going to do everything in my power to transfer my company's account away from Network Solutions as quickly as humanly possible.
- NOTE: Even if all of us do eventually get the charges reversed and/or our money back from these unauthorized charges, it still means that NetSol has had use of those funds for however many hours, days or weeks before we noticed the charge. It is my understanding that sometimes all the companies that run these scams need is to have your money on their books for mere hours to benefit from it... Something to think about. We need more regulation - as well as protection with real teeth - to go after these BigBusiness money-monsters, not less!
