It is a charge for a lighter (add on YouTube) this lighter suppose working with electricity not with gas. But it's his à fraud.

I made the mistake of clicking on a link to buy some night-driving, glare-blocking glasses ($39.99) through a Co. called Getdrivebright.com
(email - CS@topnightglasses.com) I did NOT sign up for their “VIP club” at $9.99. I was charged for both, including $9.99 for S/H. I immediately emailed them and said I wanted to cancel the order. I got an emailed reply saying they were very busy and would respond soon. I then called VISA and they said the order hadn’t posted yet and to call back. When I called Visa back about 4 hrs later, the 2 charges were pending ($49.99 and $9.99) and they could not reverse them, even though I told them there was a fraudulent charge. I now have to wait until MODERNLIFET either responds to my message and HONORS my request, or file a FRAUD CHARGE COMPLAINT with VISA, once the product arrives. After this deceptive move, I cringe to think what the actual glasses looks like. It WILL be going back if it is in any way faulty or not as anticipated. In addition, a BBB case will be opened if they will not honor the return, as I see from other complaints that they have made that deceptive move in the past.

Bought two lighters that came not as advertised! Supposed to be rechargeable NOT butane. Also charged 19.99 membership fee. Unauthorized charges! Calling bank for refund. FRAUD!

I ordered a doorbell camera after doing research on Google. The supposed Consumer Reports comparison test did not have the CR logo. I just saw the same test with another supposed test agency. The same 5 door bell cameras appear in the same order with the same ratings. When I went to purchase the top rated camera, I was charged with and extra club membership that I did not authorize. I immediately sent an email to their customer service. The email was blocked and rejected. No luck with variations of the email address. I also called their 800 number. Left message with the call-back service. No call. When I checked my bank activity online, MODERNLIFET San Jose showed up with two charges; one for the camera and the other for the camera. I called my bank and reported the fraud.

Modernlifet - it is a scam

Made the mistake of responding to add on youtube for an electric lighter - received cheap chinese butane lighter. Poorly packaged with no return slip or information. I am disputing the charge with Chase.

My purchase was paid for but I was never asked for a shipping address.

I ordered a top-rated air filter from consumertestedreviews.org and I recognize the charge of two air filters. The 9.99 charge is a mystery. Anyway, I hope the air filters are functional!

I requested a refund on a purchase dated April 22, 2024. I did more research and I discovered what the charge was for. I think I was charged more than expected, but I will let it go. Sorry

I carelessly ordered a security camera for $39.99 from this sham of a company . Upon entering payment information the receipt of sales came on to screen lasting 30-45 seconds. This was enough time to see an additional charge of $19.99 for something called VIP. I had to trace the company name to get a number to dilute the charge, nothing matched and upon the closer company name there was no one available, try later. Multiple attempts to stop this from being charged was a joke. I have my charge card company noted for a written dispute. The item came within 4 days with no receipt and address only of Self ship, California. My blood pressure goes up as I write this report.

I received three charges on December 11 on my Capitol One credit card for $29.99, $19.99 and $62.44 from MODERNLIFET. I don't know who they are and I'm quite sure I never bought anything from them. I called phone number provided 888-806-2504 and the answering machine said no agents were available.

MODERNLIFET showed up on my credit card after I tried to make a purchase from Peruvian Superfoods. which was also a scam, they stole $200 from me? I think Capitol 1 refunded me, MODERNLIFET I just found out. g

I ordered their their lighter from the youtube add! got 2 email saying the order was on its way ! did not get it! ! got charged for two lighters. Started watching my email and the emails were gone, not deleted or in trash. just gone! i will have the bank issue me a new card and number! I will be more cautious next time! moderwlifet is a bad company with bad owners! Hell has a special place just for them!

I received an email pretending to be Walmart, titled: "deals Best Walmart." After I bought something, I was notified of potential fraud by CHASE, my credit card bank. Then I went back to the email and I tapped on the sender & this is what it showed: fm166282@alunos.unisanta.br So I didn't lose anything, but now I have to go back to all the vendors that I used for repeating charges and notify them of a new credit card. PITA!

I ordered a doorbell camera based on a consumer report for best selling doorbell camera without subscription. As soon as I was trying to securepay with my google, I received an alert for my cc. I clicked on fraud because the name did not match what I was looking at AND the amount automatically changed in the check out window adding a VIP fee. This is fraud. Bounce back from their email for customer service AND no answer at the 800# as given to the cc company for charges. 888-806-2504 and cs@getbellguard.com

Just saw charges that popped up on my bank account from dec 31. Considering I was at work that day not sure what these charges are from and have no idea what they could be under this name ModernlifeT. It all looks fraudulent from what I have seen posted. From Electric light charges to doorbells and glasses. I will report this to my bank ASAP and BBB

I ordered a supposedly great Flash Light which was like a multi purpose defence and a solid flash light. Paid US$121.48 for it but also got charged $52.82 for nothing that was not authorised.
