I went online to make a reservation at Holiday Inn Express in Hilton Head and was quoted a price of $436 - imagine my surprise when I went to check in and I'd been charged $671!!! The difference was this fraudster (CCI Hotel room) site that appeared to be Holiday Inn linked and they applied an overcharge of $235.27 - this is unbelievable and I plan to complain to the Chamber of Commerce in Hilton Head and also to Holiday Inn - I demand a refund!

Stay away from CCI Hotel bookings located in Texas. I made reservations for a pet friendly room at the Econolodge in Morehead City NC. Got there and was told they had no pet friendly rooms. When I called CCI Bookings to get my money back I was told I missed the 48 hour period before my check in date for doing so. I would had canceled in their time frame if I had known they wrongly sent me to a non pet friendly motel which I had asked for. They’re a rip off!!!
This company is a scam. I did not realize I was booking through them. I thought I was booking through the same hotel my company has been staying at like I did multiple times before. They charged me 613.85 to book 5 rooms . I thought that was my room charge. turns out that was just them pretending to be a travel agent. My rooms cost me 513.93 . I can't believe this is possible. They try to get you to think you're checking in with the hotel. What a scam! I want my money back.
I booked 3 rooms last summer with CCI Hotel Reservations. I did not call them directly, but thought I was calling the hotel myself. When I tried to cancel my room reservations, I was unable to get through to CCI Hotel Reservations. I then called the hotel directly and cancelled my reservations. CCI still charged me over $224.00 for room reservations that we did not use. They are a TOTAL rip off!!
I had the same experience as many other people, including a cloned website and the surprise overcharge for "tax recovery and service fees" of $169.52. The more significant problem is that immediately after I made my reservations, several attempts were made to use my credit card, bank account and Amazon account. Luckily, these institutions caught the intrusions and notified me. Now, in addition to spending more that I anticipated, I had to spend time changing login information for several financial sites. Coincidence? I think NOT. Since I am usually cautious about online transactions, I am upset that I fell for this scam. It is all well designed to fool the customer into thinking it's authentic and reasonable. Despicable.
THE SAME SCENARIO JUST HAPPENED TO US MAY 2021 that I have been reading on other websites. CCI*Hotel Res/getaroom.com is absolutely fraudulent and still doing the same thing to customers without any remorese. We have never heard of this website "getaroom.com". Apparently though you may end up here by accident just by clicking on a link when you google for hotel deals or when you are on a hotel deal website. We got duped for $300 + which doesn't seem like alot, compared to what others may have been stiffed with. But we were only traveling for our boys soccer game so booked a two night stay, then found out we only had to stay one night. My husband booked accidentally through this site and paid up front, didn't end up getting an email confirmation so when he tried to call and cancel, he could not give them a "reservation number' and from there 1 1/2 hrs later after being transferred over and over again with each person on the other end asking for the reservation number, each one of them said they could not help him bc he didn't have the number to give them. We finally gave up. So we are making sure others are aware of this. THis is exactly the same procedure we went through that we read in all the negative reviews. We wish we looked up this company ahead of time, or else we would not have purchased from this site. However, we didn't even know that we were transferred to this website in the first place! So many things to watch out for. We even notified each person on the line that we were talking to from this company that they have gotten bad bad reviews on multiple review websites, it didn't even phase them. I hope others read this and do not fall for the same scam.
This is the Better Business Bureau entry on this company. They advertise under several names, but the charge is always CCI*HOTEL .... Was just scammed by them as well, charge 5 times higher than what I thought i had agreed to when booking. https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/north-miami/profile/hotel-reservation/getaroomcom-0633-7003995
This business should be put out of business! The hotel charge was $130.32< CCI charged $187.68. In the process of disputing the excessive charge! What a fraud...should not exist!
This site has been very HELPFUL although it looks like I got caught in this CCI*HOTEL RES800-468-3578 scam also. I am out $141.98 What can be done to put this fraud out of business?

I accidentally booked a reservation for the Hilton in Philly through their website thinking i was booking through Hilton. They took $741 from me then cancel my reservation and still kept my money. I called as soon as i realized my mistake the customer rep was being an ultimatum d*ck. He than offered me a 18% refund but never gave me a confirmation email of proof. I ask for it they said they would send. Nothing. I ask to speak with a manager, i got nothing. So basically this is a company who is stealing peoples money with no consequences
I had the same experience with CCIHotel as others posting here. Booked a 2 night stay at a Hilton in DC through what I thought was the Hilton website directly. It wouldn't go through online, so I had to call direct to book, still thinking it

was the actual Hilton. I only realized it at the conclusion of my travel when I tried to get an itemized invoice from the Hilton and was told at the desk I did not book through them to my surprise. Took me a few days to unravel and thanks to fellow travelers for posting here, which helped me figure it out. My credit card charge says CCIHOTEL 800-468-3578. Price was inflated and the company refuses to provide any invoice so I cannot get reimbursed through my job, as this was business travel, so I'm out almost $900. They are a total scam and a fraud. Please DO NOT book with this fraudulent company and be VERY careful when you are booking hotels online as this site mimics legitimate hotels sites.
Similar experience to many others here. Wife booked on line thinking she was dealing with Holiday Inn. When the charge showed up on the credit card statement the total was way over the quoted room rate. Included were the non-disclosed “tax and service recovery fee.” We have cancelled the res and they said they would be charging a nearly $200 fee which we will be disputing with the credit card issuer. If not fraud, definitely unfair and deceptive business practices.
Please don’t use this CCI*Hotel! They will charge you well over the price that the hotel is actually charging. This is the worst customer service ever!!! You can try to call them and never talk to a live person and if you do get a live person, they have trouble speaking English. They need to be shut down from doing business ASAP!
Wife was searching reservations online. She was not aware the site was a scam and typically we have used reputable sites she simply didn't think anything of it booked on 6/11/22 for reservation date of 6/15/22. She thought she had booked for $113.04 when she hit confirm it then provided list of cost and fees total of $175.39. I called them within 15 minutes to cancel as I wont give business to misleading companies. They then informed me they couldnt cancel as the hotel wont allow cancellations. I called Days INN with them on the line and Days INN confirmed they allow cancellations upto 24hrs of the reservation. Which this was. The representative told me that it is different for them to cancel and their policy with Days INN wont allow it. I simply booked directly with Days Inn and am disputing the charge with my credit card company. Totally false claims and Scam Stay AWAY
I booked a room for a Hilton Homewood Suites in Brentwood, TN at the end of November for $105. About 2 weeks later a mysterious charge from HTL Homewood Suites in Texas appeared on my corporate account for $155.58. I thought this was a holding fee. So I called the number that was provided and Dimple informed me it was a holding fee and would be deleted by the end of the week. I checked back the following week and the charge was not deleted. So I called the number again, this time they informed me I had 24 hours to cancel my reservation otherwise their hands were tied. I asked them to send me an email confirmation or receipt for the reservation. They informed me that I indeed my the reservation and they could see it on their end, yet they wouldn't send me a confirmation to tie the chargeback. I e-mailed them to request a confirmation e-mail or receipt showing I booked the room. All they gave me was a confirmation number they said they could see on their end. I informed my accounting dept, and they're being investigated for fraud.
This is a fraudulent website and a scam!!
CCI*HOTEL 800-468-3578TX used deceptive trade practice mimicking the hotel site - trapped us into booking the hotel with the same price that the hotel posted but then tacking on a 55% surcharge of fees. We immediately went to cancel & notify our cc company. Inadvertently checked the box "accepting terms and conditions" - cc company says their hands are tied. This CCI conducts illegal behavior by misrepresenting themselves and should be prosecuted.
In Canada. Googled a local hotel. They came up in the top of google with a local business page. Clicked on the "website" tab to go to that local businesses page. Called the number on the page to make a direct booking with hotel. Booked the rooms on the phone with the rep. Booked a room that should of cost 125cnd plus tax. After checking cc invoice a week later noticed I had a charge of 260cnd. Thought it was fraud. Found out they charged me the amount in US dollars plus more so one room went from 125 Cnd to 260 cnd (160 usd). That's a big difference. Be carefull. Called them to get them to charge the amount in cnd(refund diff) They refused and conversations went no where. Next step is to dispute with cc. Fraud
The people working at this company made a reservation for me in the WRONG area of the state of Ca. I drove to the address and it was a hospital I called the hotel and was informed that they were near San Diego, Ca. I told the man at the hotel I would not be there, since I live in Modesto Ca. How do I get my money back. He said I had to go thru getaroom to get my money back. For a week and a half I’ve been told I have a ticket# and they had to call the hotel only to be told they won’t refund my money. So, now I’m paying for their mistake. I’m going to take them to small claims court. Report them to BBB, as well as make a formal complaint to USITC. I was charged $214.00, for a room I never stayed in, and was told nothing in the area of San Francisco had any vacancies. I drove down the road 1 mile found a room, for $159.00. These people have terrible customer service, also clueless unbelievable!!!!!!🙄
I have a charge on my bank account for CCI Hotel on 11/13/19. I was not even in Texas on that date. it was for $163.90. I am contacting my bank & reporting that this is a fraud.
(CCI HOTEL RES 800-468-3578 TX), this was on my bank statement.
I booked accommodation at the Holiday Inn in Fiji and was overcharged. I cancelled the booking but the money has b not been refunded. Holiday inn say they never received the booking. My credit card was charged in Australian dollars which was converted from American dollars so you can imagine the cost, I am putting in a disputed transaction via my bank! What a dodgy lot and a first class CON. Definitely FRAUD.
Booked a room with Bookings.com in Tallahassee, FL. When I checked my cc statement I found that I was charged $216.15 from CCI*Hotel Res AND $167.31 from Country Inn and Suites. On and by the way, the room at the Country Inn and Suites was crap. When I tried to cancel my reservation for the return trip was told I had to go back through Bookings.com. Which I did. From reading the comments on this site I totally believe this is a fraudulent charge and a scam! Lesson learned ... NEVER BOOK THROUGH A THIRD PARTY ...
I made a reservation on what looked like the website of the hotel I wished to stay at. I received a confirmation email from a different company - Hotel Values. My credit card was charged an additional $521.80 for "Tax Recovery Charges and Service Fees". On my departing receipt from the hotel, the $521.80 charge did not show up. I called Hotel Values on 10/30/22. I wanted to know (1) what the charges were for and (2) what tax entities the taxes were for. The customer service rep I spoke to would not answer my questions. She only told me that Hotel Values works with many hotels as a third-party business. She suggested that I email Getaroom.com (apparently a related business) and they will answer my questions. I called Getaroom.com customer service and the rep gave me the same run around as the Hotel Values rep and would not answer my questions. This morning I sent a very specific email to the address I was given - escalations@getaroom.com. The email was immediately returned to me with the message that it could not be delivered. At this point, I do not seem to have any recourse to contact either Value Hotels or Getaroom.com to discuss getting my $521.80 refund. The Internet is loaded with hundreds of customer complaints about these two businesses and a class-action lawsuit was filed against them in 2020. I thought that my reservation was made through the hotel, but apparently it was "hijacked" by Hotel Values and Getaroom.com. By the way, the $521.80 charge was 49% of the actual hotel bill of $1,101.99. I believe these companies are a scam.
We were lured to CCI through a web search for inexpensive lodging in New Orleans. We stayed 5 nights at Suburban Extended Stay Hotel in Avondale, LA with a reservation made with CCI. The Hotel charged us $782.22; CCI charged us $1,060.91, including a fee of $277.69 which was not disclosed, nor were any conditions disclosed. This is clearly exploitive, if not fraudulent. 1. never use CCI services; there are many others available, 2) insist on full disclosure of fees in advance, 3) insist on a statement of terms and conditions. Caveat Emptor
Had a charge of $212.61 from CCI*HOTEL@GETAROOM 800-468-3578 TX. I thought it was fraud but after checking with Cheapoair.com's Customer Service department (whom I booked a trip to Denver with around the same time that I saw the getaroom.com charge), turns out the Getaroom.com charge was for the hotel that I booked through Cheapoair.com. So Cheapoair works with Getaroom for hotel bookings. Kind of weird, a 3rd party using another 3rd party, but it was legitimate nonetheless.
I booked a n hotel room at Swissotel Al Murooj Ho DUBAI AX with booking.com and my Hotel room was $ 748.34. This amount my charged on my card. However, CCI*HOTEL RES 800-468-3578 TX US on 03/26/2023 charged an additional $ 818.58 on my credit card as well.

I'm going to be reporting this to the Fraud division
Hotel charge was $309 and they charged my credit card $500, what a crook. They earned $200 for answering the f**king phone!!!

SCAM! The room was suppose to be $145. They tacked on a $75 tax and service fee. Total closet over $220! BEWARE! They look legit with no mention of extra fee until they have your credit card and confirmation information!
